How does it work?
An impression is taken at the office in order to make a custom-fitted tray for your bleaching procedure. The Opalescence gel is placed in the comfortable trays that gently fit over your teeth and are worn throughout the night. The active ingredient, carbamide peroxide is broken down and the oxygen enters the dentin and enamel. The structure of the teeth remains the same, however the color of the teeth are simply made a shade lighter.

Is it safe to use?
Whitening your teeth under a dentists supervision, utilizing the carefully chosen materials, has proven to be clinically safe in studies that span many years. How soon will I see results?
Results are often seen within the first few days (especially if starting with the top teeth only, and comparing them with the bottom teeth). The optimum shade of whiteness may not be reached for 10 days to several weeks. We will have an appointment to discuss what can be expected in your individual situation.

How do I keep my beautiful smile?
Brushing with the Opalescence toothpaste is a wonderful product for maintaining a bright smile. Brushing after consuming tooth staining foods is helpful. After several years you may need to return for a touch-up appointment.
